A negative test now would be too late for a possible assignment, but would allow Bühl to support her team from the bench.

DFB-Elf: Bühl was set until the infection

Up until her infection, offensive all-rounder Klara Bühl was an integral part of coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg's starting eleven, who used Bühl every time as a left winger.

This paid back the trust by always doing a good job over the wing.

In the second group game against the highly regarded Spaniards, she even scored the 1-0 goal, and she also played a decisive role in the quarter-finals against Austria with her assist to Lina Magull's opening goal.

Klara Bühl: Corona infection bursts the final dream

Coach Voss-Tecklenburg could always rely on Klara Bühl to deliver in the important games.

But since not only the cohesion in the squad of the DFB-Elf is enormous, but also the quality density, Bühl was adequately replaced by new wolf Jule Brand in the semifinals against France (2:1).

She will probably also be the first choice at Wembley Stadium, although Lea Schüller, who has also been infected with Corona in the meantime, is another option.

Klara Bühl: Even if it's negative, the protocol slows her down

According to UEFA regulations, Bühl, whose corona infection was announced on Tuesday (July 26), is allowed to play again five days after the first positive test.

Provided that the player can present both a negative test and is completely symptom-free.

However, UEFA also requires a comprehensive medical examination before being allowed to play again.

Apparently this cannot be realistically represented in the short time available.

However, a negative test would allow the young striker to leave the quarantine and support her team in the final on Sunday (07/31) at 18:00 from the substitutes' bench.

"If she tests negative, she can also go to the stadium," confirms the national coach, who knows how important team spirit is: "We would be very happy if Klara were tested freely and could come to the game."
