Fabio Quartararo did a balancing act this Sunday during the Austrian Grand Prix.
The world champion once again proved his talent by achieving a great race.
Facing Francesco Bagnaia and the Ducati armada, the Frenchman, who started in fifth position, made a rather incredible comeback.
Until the end, the Yamaha rider was not far from stealing the show from the Italian, who signed his third consecutive victory there and the fifth since the year.
On a circuit cut for Ducati, the Frenchman achieved an enormous performance.
And his second place almost tastes like a victory, it was unthinkable to find him so high in the hierarchy.
The other Frenchman, Johann Zarco, found himself in the shadow of this duel at the top.
Still looking for his first victory in the queen category, the Cannes native, who again failed at the start, is content with fifth place behind Jack Miller and Luca Marini.
He nevertheless climbed back to fourth place in the championship standings.

In the general classification of the world championship, Fabio Quartararo consolidates his first place.
He now has a 32-point lead over Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia) thanks to his seventh podium after thirteen events.
âI think it's one of my best races, says Fabio Quartararo at the microphone of Canal +.
It's so difficult.
I was several times at the limit and I almost fell.
Physically it was very difficult.
I am so happy.
I accelerated a lot.
I had a good start but it wasn't great on the first lap.
I made a good comeback and I tell myself that I could even have picked up Francesco (Bagnaia) if there had been a few more laps.
We'll see you at the next race.
