, negotiations are advanced between the clans of Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk to organize a fight at the end of the year.
Saudi Arabia would like to take charge of the organization of potential combat.
The date would be found since the Saudis would aim for December 17, the day before the final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, a neighbor of the Middle East:
“We are very interested in the fight for the undisputed heavyweight title.
We are looking to do this in the city of Riyadh
,” confirmed Prince Mohammad Abdulaziz, Saudi Minister of Sports.
Current WBC champion, the “Gipsy King” had announced his retirement on April 23 before launching to imply a possible return.
The International Boxing Federation now gives him until August 26 to make an official decision.
Regarding this rumor, Usyk made it clear that he will only accept one fight against Fury in his career from now on
“I think he has not retired.
I want to fight him.
