Hamburger SV is back in a good position in the 2nd Bundesliga.
HSV easily won 2-0 (1-0) at 1. FC Nürnberg and moved up to third place in the table with their fourth win of the season.
The FCN is behind expectations with seven points from six games.
Mario Vuskovic (37th) and Robert Glatzel (90th + 2) scored in front of 35,713 spectators for the strong Hamburg team.
The big excitement was another scene.
Club defender Florian Hübner slipped in his own penalty area and brought Glatzel down from behind (21').
Referee Felix Zwayer surprisingly decided on a free kick for Nuremberg, how it came about was initially not to be resolved.
Maybe Glatzel was just offside.
Nuremberg started with a double chance from Johannes Geis and Enrico Valentini (11th), after which HSV got better.
Access Jean-Luc Dompe failed with his shot at the FCN goalkeeper and former Hamburger Christian Mathenia (32nd).
Nürnberg didn't give up after going behind, Christoph Daferner missed great chances to equalize (48'/70').
HSV managed to respond successfully to the chaotic game against Darmstadt a week ago.
Aaron Opoku and Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer were both sent off in the 1-2 home defeat.
