Mick Schumacher retired in qualifying for the Formula 1 race in Belgium in the second round.
The 23-year-old finished 15th in Spa-Francorchamps on Saturday and thus missed the final round of the top ten.
Spa-Francorchamps - Schumacher, who is still fighting for a contract for next season, was quicker than Haas teammate Kevin Magnussen.
The Dane failed as 18th in the first round.
Sebastian Vettel has experienced another disappointment after the summer break.
The Aston Martin driver retired in 16th place after the first run.
Two thousandths of a second were missing for the four-time world champion on compatriot Mick Schumacher in the Haas and progressing to the next round.
Because, in addition to Schumacher, six other drivers received penalties for illegally changing engine parts, Vettel moved up a bit at the start of the Grand Prix on Sunday.
