Ajax striker is reportedly following his ex-coach to Manchester

According to TV broadcaster Sky UK, Manchester United are said to have reached an agreement in contract poker for Ajax Amsterdam's winger Antony.

According to the report, the Premier League club offered the Dutch champions £84m (about €98.9m) for the 22-year-old attacker and Ajax accepted.

The Dutch are said to have rejected an offer of 90 million euros on Friday.

For Ajax it would be the highest revenue for a player.

Antony was not in the Ajax squad in Amsterdam's last two games against Sparta Rotterdam (1-0 (1-0)) and FC Utrecht (2-0 (2-0)).

He scored eight goals in 23 league games last season.

In Manchester, the Brazilian would meet his former coach Erik ten Hag.

Milan want Wolfsburg midfield talent

After the Schalke central defender Malick Thiaw, the Italian champions AC Milan apparently want to sign another player from the Bundesliga.

According to consistent media reports, the nine-time European Cup winner is currently negotiating with VfL Wolfsburg about a loan for Belgian midfielder Aster Vranckx.

The 19-year-old only moved from KV Mechelen to Wolfsburg a year ago, but no longer plays a sporting role under the new coach Niko Kovač.

According to Italian media, both clubs want to agree on a one-year loan deal with a subsequent purchase option.

At the same time, the Milanese are to negotiate with Vranckx's advisors in Italy this Monday.

League competitor Atalanta Bergamo is also interested in the Belgian.

Veteran Cavani will probably join Valencia

According to the Spanish sports newspaper »Marca«, the Uruguayan storm veteran Edinson Cavani will join FC Valencia.

Most recently, Villarreal coach Unai Emery had hoped for a commitment.

The 35-year-old is expected to sign the contract in Valencia today.

Cavani played for Paris Saint-Germain from 2013 to 2020, scoring 200 goals in 301 games for the capital club.

In 2020 he joined Manchester United, scoring 12 goals in 41 games.

In May 2021 he had extended his contract by a year, but then hardly played a role in Manchester's plans.
