The Formula 1 race in Spa had a lot to offer.

Sebastian Vettel was annoyed by a double overtaking maneuver against himself.

All reactions to the Belgium GP.

Spa – What a spectacular race at Spa.

The Belgian Grand Prix once again kept what it promised.

Several overtaking maneuvers right from the start delighted the fans at the Ardennes race.

Max Verstappen in the Red Bull delivered an incredible comeback from P14 to take his ninth win in round 14 of the Formula 1 season.

Sebastian Vettel also showed a turbo start and initially improved by five positions.

In the end, the man from Heppenheim had to settle for eighth place, also because he was countered by Esteban Ocon after an overtaking manoeuvre.

Mick Schumacher came in 17th.

We have summarized the voices surrounding the Belgian Grand Prix for you:

Sebastian Vettel (Aston Martin) after the race over...

...his eighth place:

"Seventh place at the end bothers me a bit, that's stupid of course.

We missed the momentum after the box, otherwise we could have held the place.

Esteban was a bit faster.

It's an eighth place, that's still quite good.”

...possible improvements:

“We take it with us that qualifying is important and that is currently too bad for us.

We have to be at least tenth, then I can use my elbows or do something with the tyres.”

...the double overtaking maneuver against him:

"It was boring from my point of view, I couldn't do anything.

I didn't want to slow them down.

It kind of went haywire.”

...his imminent end of career:

"I'm finishing my season and then it's on, that's why I don't see it as a farewell tour.

It wasn't a spontaneous decision, but you have to accept it.

I'm looking forward to the races that are coming and then to nothing.

But I’m also not the type to sit around.”

... an expert job:

"I think that's a very difficult role, Timo does it well, others find it more difficult."

...Mick Schumacher:

"I wish him even more drive for the next races.

Unfortunately, nowadays one is judged too quickly according to the latest results, there is a lack of foresight.

He has been in good form lately but the car is not as good now as it was at the beginning of the year.

I wish him to stay in it, maybe at McLaren.”

...a benefit football game on Wednesday:

“I also had a bit of sore muscles, luckily you don't have to start sprinting in the car, the engine does that.

I ran a lot, that was my strength.

It was fun."

Mick Schumacher (Haas) after the race over...

...the Grand Prix:

"Quite warm in the car, something broke down, so I got a lot of hot air.

In terms of speed, it wasn't what we had imagined."

...Spa:

“I drove my first Formula 1 race in Belgium, so I'm very happy.

Hopefully there will be many more races, then with more German fans.”

...the next race in Zandvoort:

"We hope that we can fight for the points there again."

Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) after the race over...

...his demotion after the race:

"We got a five-second penalty."

...the Grand Prix:

"The first lap caused us problems with the clogged brake ventilation shaft, so we had to start all over again."

...the next weekend:

"We have to understand why we are so far behind.

I don't think there will be a miracle in the next race."
