We are disappointed to have had to postpone this event again due to circumstances beyond our control, but we have done so to provide assurances to athletes and Member Federations preparing for the 2023 competitive season

After the 2022 edition disputed in March in Belgrade, the next Indoor Worlds will take place in March 2024 in Glasgow.
Scheduled to host many major events in recent years, China has not hosted any international athletics competition since the start of the pandemic in 2020. The two annual meetings of the Diamond League have already been canceled in 2020 , 2021 and 2022, as well as the 2022 World Half Marathon Championships.
