US Open: Game interrupted because the skirt fluttered too high – "The dress is so bad"

Bianca Andreescu causes a strange incident at the US Open.
The Canadian has to change her dress in the middle of the game - and complains loudly.
New York - Tennis was once considered an elite sport.
That is why there is a special dress code at Wimbledon, the time-honoured lawn tournament in London.
The outfit of the protagonists at the All England Championships must be all white.
So nothing with brightly colored shirts or pants, it has to be pure thread on the sacred lawn.
Lucky for the tennis stars that there is no dress code at the remaining Grand Slams.
However, an incident at the US Open now shows that clothing can also be very disruptive during the game.
The color was less important than the shape of the garment.

Bianca Andreescu had problems with her dress in her first round match in Flushing Meadows.
The skirt of the Canadian tennis star kept fluttering up, annoying her with serves and forehand play.
This ultimately led to an interruption because Andreescu complained loudly about it - and asked the referee to be allowed to change her outfit.

"It's not my fault, it's Nike's fault," she mocked towards the referee: "The dress is so bad.
I have to go, it's so bad.” The referee then stopped the game and gave the 22-year-old a break to change.
Andreescu then appeared on Center Court in a tighter skirt.
Apparently, the game master understood Andreescu's predicament and didn't take a toilet break from the former fourth in the world rankings.
As a rule, the players only have two per game and can thus request a break in the game.
"I tried to convince him (

) not to take the toilet break away from me because I know we'll only get two," said Andreescu after the game: "He was very nice and said it was perfectly fine.”
After the outfit change, things went really well for Andreescu, who is currently 48th in the world rankings.
won after three sets 6:0, 3:6, 6:1 and is now in the 2nd round of the US Open.
After the game, the Canadian apologized for her verbal blunder and went on a cuddling course with her outfitter: “I love Nike and I hope to work with them for the rest of my life.
I definitely could have expressed myself differently.”
Curious: Your opponent came from France and had the name Harmony Tan.
However, this match was not really harmonious...
