The transfer window closed tonight (Friday) with some more interesting signings in world football, but as every year there were also some familiar players who did not find a team.
Marcelo
Marcelo is a legend at Real Madrid.
The defender is the most decorated player in the club's history, won 24 major titles with Real and made over 500 appearances in the famous white shirt.
The 34-year-old left the Bernabeu at the end of last season, after 15 years at the club, after being on the bench for the Champions League final win over Liverpool.
He also ends the window without a group.
Diego Costa
Diego Costa has made a name for himself as a lethal striker at Atletico Madrid and Chelsea over the last decade.
This summer, he has been linked with a range of clubs, from Birmingham City and Rayo Vallecano to Manchester United, but no one has yet made a move on the 33-year-old.

Juan Mata
is one of the nicest players in football.
The Spaniard was arguably the only player Manchester United fans were sad to see leave the club last season.
After 11 years in England - three with Chelsea, eight with United - it was no surprise to see the former Spain international linked with a move to Leeds United in the summer.
But in the end he was left without a team.
