Goalkeeper
He is infamous.
Holder in the Liverpool cages in the 2018 Champions League final against Real Madrid,
Loris Karius
had left its mark on the meeting ... by committing two blunders which had given the victory to the Merengue (3-1).
Since then, the German goalkeeper has been lost.
After being loaned to Beşiktaş JK between 2018 and 2020 then to Union Berlin in 2020-2021, the 29-year-old goalkeeper has just experienced an almost white 2021-2022 season with the Reds with only one match played, in DFB- Pokal (German Cup).
On July 1, he left the Merseyside club for good.
And since then, it has still not found a taker.
A nice tumble for anyone who knew the Mannschaft youth teams.
In view of his experience and his intrinsic qualities, he should arouse covetousness.
However, will he have the mental strength to bounce back after such a fall?

Defense
Our typical team consists of three central defenders.
From left to right:
Dan-Axel Zagadou
(23 years old),
Jason Denayer
(27 years old) and
Serge Aurier
.
The first, trained at Paris Saint-Germain, has just left Borussia Dortmund, after five years in the Ruhr.
In the Bundesliga, the Frenchman showed great things between his many (and long) injuries.
It would interest Inter Milan and AS Roma.
With regard to the second, the situation is a little different.
Arrived in the Rhône with the status of a player of very good level, the Belgian will not have finally convinced at Olympique Lyonnais;
at least, he will not have lived up to the expectations placed on him, in particular because of his inconstancy.
Tracked by several teams, including in the Premier League, the ex-Manchester City player is still on the market.
But it shouldn't have any trouble finding takers.
It remains to be seen whether the clubs interested in him are suitable...
For the third, the situation is about to settle.
As several sources reveal (
L'Équipe
,
RMC Sport
,
Fabrizio Romano
), after a mixed spell at Villarreal, the Ivorian would be on the way to joining Nottingham Forest, the promoted English who is talking about him for his activity during the summer transfer window.

The midfield
In the axis of our midfield, we find a pair
Ross Barkley
-
Danny Drinkwater
, the two former Chelsea players.
The 29-year-old Briton, who passed through Everton, played 6 Premier League games with the Blues in 2021-2022 (1 goal).
He terminated his contract earlier this week.
He would be in the small papers of OGC Nice in particular.
The second, aged 32, was loaned to Reading, with whom he made 33 appearances in the Championship (1 goal, 1 assist).
He officially left the London club at the end of his contract on July 1.
Several (British?) formations should position themselves on his profile.

On the left side, it is
Marcelo
who occupies the role of piston.
The Brazilian (34), who arrived at Real Madrid in January 2007 from Fluminense, has just left the White House as a legend, with, among other things, five Champions League on the clock.
Many clubs came to the information this summer.
And according to the latest rumors, he could possibly continue his career in the Premier League, on the side of Leicester City.
On the other side is
Djibril Sidibé
(30 years old) who is aligned in our eleven.
The Frenchman comes out of a fairly mixed 2021-2022 exercise with AS Monaco (17 Ligue 1 matches).
It was once announced at Nottingham Forest;
however, the Reds would have finally chosen to set their sights on Serge Aurier.
Because of his qualities, his versatility and his experience, there is no doubt that other formations should try to attract him.

The attack
On paper, the attack is salivating.
Juan Mata
(34) and
Hatem Ben Arfa
(35) have been appointed to support
Diego Costa
.
The Spaniard, whose Mancunian adventure ended after eight good years, received offers across the Atlantic, in Major League Soccer.
But the very fine attacking midfielder is waiting for a sign from Valencia CF, his former club, according to information from journalist Héctor Gómez.
The Frenchman, for his part, had a difficult experience with LOSC, punctuated by an altercation with his coach Jocelyn Gourvennec.
For the moment, the attacking midfielder is not announced anywhere.
Is it time to retire for someone who has never realized all the hopes placed in him?
Answer in the next few weeks.
This could also be the case for the Spanish-Brazilian center forward.
Free since last January after the termination of his contract with Atlético Mineiro, the
33-year-old striker is not in current transfer rumours.
Will he find one last challenge?
