In Monaco the derby.
In a fairly closed encounter, ASM won the Riviera derby on the lawn of Nice (0-1).
A short success but which confirms the good arrangements of the Rock club on the move (8th consecutive match without defeat).
Nice may regret some badly negotiated situations and an overall lack of audacity.

First act to forget
Because this derby was primarily tactical with a lot of duels in midfield between two teams organized 5 behind.
Between the sterile possession of Monaco, with the only opportunity before the break a shot just off target from Golovin (41st), and the counterattacks not always well played by Nice, even if Atal (12th), Pepe (29th) and Dante ( 45th) solicited Nübel, the first period offered little spectacle.
On returning from the locker room, the two teams continued to multiply the approximations but Monaco put a little more intensity and ended up being rewarded.
Embolo releases ASM
After an attempt right next to Diatta (57'), it was Embolo who opened the scoring by heading in a good cross from Caio Henrique (0-1, 69').
All on the 1st shot on target from ASM in this meeting.
Nice struggled to react despite a rather active Delort-Laborde duo, the two men being lined up together for the first time since their joint departure from Montpellier in 2021. Even without Ben Yedder, left on the bench, Monaco therefore reacted well after his disappointment against Troyes (2-4).
