Maccabi Haifa players and fans are counting down the hours for the first match in Group 8 of the Champions League, when the Greens will be hosted tomorrow (Tuesday, 22:00) at the Stadium of Light in Lisbon by Benfica, who finished last season in third place in Portugal and also passed the qualifying stages.

Tonight at 8:30 p.m., the Israeli champions will hold the official press conference ahead of the match, with Barak Becher flanked by captain Neta Lavi, who gave up his son's alliance to take part in the opening of Maccabi Haifa's third campaign in the central European factory.

Maccabi Haifa will return to Israel on Wednesday night and already on Saturday at 18:00 a league game awaits them against Section Nes Ziona.
