Maccabi Tel Aviv's new stopper, Derrick Lucassen, who held his debut training session with the team yesterday (Monday), may be included in the squad for the upcoming match against MS Ashdod, when the final decision on this will be made towards the weekend.
Lucassen was interviewed by the Yellow Pages' website and said: "I like to work hard, I like to work hard for the team. I am strong, fast, physical, know how to defend, good with the ball and I hope to show my qualities to all the people at Maccabi Tel Aviv."
The stopper continued: "I spoke with Zahabi and Van Over and they told me good things about the club. Without a doubt, this is a huge club in Israel, and big clubs should be champions. I hope we will also be champions and have a great season."
Also at Maccabi, midfielder Eyal Golsa is expected to be fit for the upcoming game, as is defender Nir Biton, who was not included in the squad for the last game against Kiryat Shmona due to a minor injury
