The St. Wolfgang striker scored twice in the final.

And now it's already clear: in 2023 there will be a third edition of the Teamwear Cup, probably as a lightning tournament

Schwaig

– district league club SG St. Wolfgang/Lengdorf/Hörgersdorf has won the Teamwear Cup 2022.

Sigi Obermeier's team deservedly won the trophy of a tournament that suffered from many cancellations due to deadlines.

Nevertheless, there should be a third edition in 2023, as the organizers Manfred Buchhauser (FCS), Stefan Karamatic (FCL) and sponsor Bernhard Schuster (TS Teamwear) agreed.

However, Buchhauser indicated that the mode should be adjusted, especially since the district cup is also taking place at the same time.

A blitz tournament with all teams in one day is possible, says Buchhauser.

The games on the final day:

Match for fifth place: FC Schwaig – SG Kirchasch 5:2

– SG goalkeeper Maria Bauer had to clear Lisa Maier for the first time after just 13 seconds.

Schwaig continued to press and created several chances to score, but the guests were more effective and scored with the first opportunity.

Luisa Mayrhofer shot the ball from close range (20').

Ten minutes later, Sophia Buchhauser made it through on the left and equalized to make it 1-1, which Franziska Gruber answered by leading the visitors again (35').

The crossbar prevented the possible 2:2 by Buchhauser.

However, the equalizer came in the second round through Maier (52nd).

Emily Grimes gave FCS the lead for the first time with a free kick from the inside right.

She then increased to 4:2, and Buchhauser marked the final score of 5:2.

Match for third place: FC Langengeisling 2 - TSV Eching 2:4

– The FCL reserve left control of the game to the district league team, but set small pinpricks with the fast attackers Yasmine Burunc and Jasmin Weißig, but the last pass was rarely precise enough.

In the 32nd minute, Panagiota Tsanaka punished a mistake made by the otherwise strong FCL goalkeeper Celine Siebrecht to make it 1-0.

Shortly after the restart, Weißig was released nicely and scored the 1:1.

Both teams wanted the lead now.

After a combination worth seeing, Elisa Josephs scored for Eching (60th).

But the FCL didn't give up and Milena Schulte put the ball into the goal from almost 30 meters (70').

The game remained open.

In the end, a goal from a corner kick (Sandra Mederl, 77') and a counterattack against the Geislingers who had moved up made the decision (Gentiana Hoxha, 90').

Final: SG St. Wolfgang/Lengdorf/Hörgersdorf – FC Moosinning 2:1

- In the first half, the SG dominated the game and had significantly more possession of the ball.

The women from Wolfgang created many nice moves, the only problem was the finishes.

The team only broke the spell in the 53rd minute.

Evi Brandlhuber had prevailed on the right.

Her sharp shot bounced off the crossbar.

Sophia Schorer outplayed goalkeeper Cornelia Schirmer and scored the 1-0.

The SG stayed on the trigger.

At the back, the defensive line with Anna Obermeier, Jenny Lindner, Lisa Butzenberger and Lena Kussinger left nothing to burn.

If a ball came on goal, keeper Sabine Winkler was there.

And up front there's striker Schorer.

In the 71st minute she outplayed the Moosinninger defense and scored flat to make it 2-0.

The game was made exciting by Catharina Limbrunner, who reduced the score to 1:2 in the 82nd minute.
