After a great start in the Bundesliga, FC Bayern is currently in trouble.
One reason is the poor hit rate of newcomer Sadio Mané.
Munich – Two weeks ago, the ball would probably have landed in the goal.
Sadio Mané's header was actually well placed, but keeper Frederik Rönnow somehow scraped the ball out of the corner.
No goal.
This is what happened on Saturday at the Bundesliga match between Union Berlin and FC Bayern Munich.
In the end it was 1:1.
It was Bayern's second draw in a row.
And again Mané didn't hit.
Mané was brought in mainly because goal machine Robert Lewandowski switched to FC Barcelona.
So in Munich one expects goals from the Senegalese winger.
He has already scored three in the league.
Only recently in the draws against Gladbach and Union did little work.
A statistic now shows that Mané is actually weaker in terms of graduation than in the past five years.
Sadio Mané with the weakest graduation rate in five years
While Mané was still successful for Bayern in the DFB Cup, he didn't do much against Union.
As
Sport1
reports with the help of the statistics
portal FBref
, there is a reason for this.
So far, Mané has only converted eleven percent of his shots at FC Bayern.
His weakest value in five years!
According to this, it was 16 percent last season, while still in Liverpool FC dress.
The 30-year-old currently has 4.32 deals per game.
In Liverpool he was still under three goals per game.
And: Mané deducts an average of 11.7 meters from the goal, as reported by
Sport1
.
Last season in Liverpool it was 13.3 meters.
Mané finishes more often at Bayern than in Liverpool
However, it must also be noted that only five matchdays have been played in the Bundesliga.
It remains to be seen how the statistics will look at the end of the year.
Positive from Munich's point of view: Mané finishes much more often in the Bayern squad than with the "Reds".
If he is still working on his effectiveness, more goals should follow.
What Africa's footballer of the year, on the other hand, already masters perfectly: dealing with the fans.
Mané signed autographs for an unbelievable 105 minutes during public training on Sunday.
No trace of Union frustration.
