The sport quickly joined the global mourning for the death of the Queen of England, Elizabeth II, who passed away at the age of 96, after seven decades on the throne.
In English football, for example, all games are expected to be canceled in the coming days to honor the Queen's memory, but there is also a small debate - who did Elizabeth II sympathize with, not surprisingly, the two teams claiming the crown are from England's capital city, London.
One is West Ham, which claims that as soon as it came to power it made it clear that it was its preferred team.
This was only really confirmed in the 1960s, when the captain of the Hammers was Bobby Moore, to whom the Queen also awarded the World Cup won by England in 1966.

The other team is Arsenal, who visited the Queen at Buckingham Palace after winning the FA Cup in 2007.
The team's player, Cesc Fabregas, even said after the visit: "The Queen is a big fan of Arsenal."
We probably won't really know the official answer to the question of sympathy, but we will note that Prince Harry is known as an Arsenal fan (William of Aston Villa) and the Duke of Sussex admitted during a visit to New Zealand several years ago that "most of the royal family are Arsenal fans".
Arsenal's game yesterday in the Europa League, held away in Zurich, began with a minute's silence and a tribute to the Queen on the scoreboard.
