Ferrari driver Leclerc races to pole at home race

Charles Leclerc took pole position at Ferrari's home race.
To thunderous applause from the Tifosi, the 2019 Monza winner raced to first place in Formula 1 qualifying.
Monza - "How nice," he radioed jubilantly to his command post and then let the fans celebrate while standing on the car.
Second was world champion and world championship leader Max Verstappen from the Netherlands, who, however, has to cope with a five-place grid penalty in the Red Bull.
Leclerc's teammate Carlos Sainz, who in turn will even move far down the field due to a grid penalty, finished third.
Fourth was Sergio Perez in the second Red Bull. Because the Mexican also has a history of installing new parts in his car - like record world champion Lewis Hamilton in fifth place in the Mercedes - Mercedes driver George Russell moves up to second on the grid on Sunday (3 p.m /Sky) before.
Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher were eliminated in the first period.
Vettel did not get past 17th place in the Aston Martin, Mick Schumacher finished last in the Haas.
