A medical emergency has led to a long suspension of FC Barcelona's league game at FC Cádiz on Saturday night.
With the score at 2-0 for the Catalans, the game could not continue in the 82nd minute because a person in the stands behind the goal of Cádiz goalkeeper Jeremías Ledesma needed medical attention.
Ledesma, who has his nickname Conan on his jersey, had taken a defibrillator from the sidelines and thrown it into the stands after a few minutes.
The players of both teams stayed on the pitch for a total of almost 20 minutes before the referee sent them to the dressing rooms.
Another 25 minutes later, the pros came back on the field and ended the game after a short warm-up phase.
No further information is currently known, many spectators had left the stadium in Cádiz prematurely.
In the run-up to the Champions League game against FC Bayern next Tuesday, Barça coach Xavi decided to rest some of his regular staff.
Robert Lewandowski was initially on the substitutes' bench and came on as a substitute in the 57th minute. A little later the Pole scored his sixth goal of the season to make it 2-0 (65th).
Frenkie de Jong (55th) had previously provided the lead for the guests.
In the final phase, Lewandowski scored the third goal for Ansu Fati (86') and Ousmane Dembélé, who also came on as a substitute, scored to make it 4-0.
Barça celebrated their fourth win in the fifth game of the season.
