The Syrian youth football team beat Chinese Taipei 1-0 in the match that brought them together today in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in the opening of its participation in the Asian qualifiers for the Asian Cup in Uzbekistan 2023, for the account of Group D.
Mahmoud Al-Aswad scored for our team in the 27th minute.
Our national team will meet in its second match of the qualifiers with the Marina Islands national team, to face Jordan next Friday, before concluding the qualifiers by facing Turkmenistan on the eighteenth of this month.
The squad of our team in the match included Muhammad Hassouni, Khaled Al-Hajjah, Ali Al-Rina, Malik Janair, Hassan Dahan, Mahmoud Al-Nayef, Mahmoud Al-Aswad, Al-Miqdad Ahmed, Hozan Othman, Muhannad Fadel and Muhammad Asaad.
The first place in each group qualifies for the Asian finals, along with the best 5 teams that get second place in the ten groups of qualifiers, to join the hosts of the tournament, Uzbekistan.
