At the end of the eighth match day of the second division, six goals were scored on the Betzenberg in Kaiserslautern.

At first everything looked like a Darmstadt victory before Lautern turned the game.

Darmstadt, however, struck back in injury time, the game ended 3:3 (0:1).

In a weak game against Sandhausen, St. Pauli only managed to draw 1:1 (1:0).

Magdeburg defeated last light Fürth 2:1 (1:1).

Magdeburg's arrival drew attention to Cristiano Piccini.

FC St. Pauli had the better chances from the start and took the lead before the break.

After a cross from Leart Paqarada, attacker Jackson Irvine jumped higher than his guard and scored his third goal of the season with a header (38th minute).

St. Pauli didn't do enough after that - and the sand houses, which had been so weak up to that point, actually compensated.

After a tumult in the penalty area, David Kinsombi made it 1-1 (71st).

For a long time, apart from a big chance through Kaiserslautern's Philipp Hercher, little happened (24th), before things got heated shortly before the half-time break.

Lautern's keeper Andreas Luthe fouled Darmstadt's Fabian Holland in the penalty area and the guests were awarded penalties.

Tobias Kempe converted safely (45 + 2).

Kaiserslautern made two changes at half-time, but Darmstadt added the goal.

Phillip Tietz shot from around 20 meters and scored to make it 2-0 (49th).

But then the home team suddenly played along: first Kenny Prince Redondo scored the goal with a header (74'), then Darmstadt's Matthias Bader fouled Lautern's Hendrick Zuck in the penalty area, and there were penalties again.

Mike Wunderlich converted (77th).

When Redondo even turned the game around for Lautern, everything looked like a home win (87th).

In added time, Darmstadt hit back with a volley from Aaron Seydel (90+1).

Magdeburg managed an important victory in the basement duel against Bundesliga relegated Fürth.

Cristiano Piccini, 29, who has just signed, scored the first goal for Magdeburg on his debut.

Defender Piccini, who last had no club but played three times for the Italian national team in 2018 and 2019, switched the fastest after a rebound (37th).

The lead didn't last long, however, only four minutes later, Fürth's Damian Michalski headed the equalizer after a corner.

After that, however, the Franks managed almost nothing.

Shortly before the end, Moritz Kwarteng shot the Magdeburg team to victory from around 18 meters (86th).

Fürth remains at the bottom of the table.
