Third win in the fourth friendly: SC Riessersee is 3-0 up against Rosenheim in the first third and wins 4-2.

The Riesserseer shine particularly in the first third.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen –

Although there is still a lack of speed, overview and above all physical mass, they are already showing their talent.

They are all good skaters too.

We're not talking about SC Riessersee's premier league team, but about their own U11 youth, who knew how to entertain the spectators in the Olympic Ice Sports Center during the first third break.

How that works, how to inspire the audience in the stands, was shown by the pros right in front of them.

Objective lessons of the highest quality.

Offensive fireworks in the first section

The SCR received the Starbulls Rosenheim and dominated the league opponents in third one at will.

Rosenheim didn't know how to counter the controlled speed ice hockey of the hosts.

The 0:3 deficit after 15 minutes was still happy from the Starbulls' point of view.

Because the white-blue conjured up a flawless performance in the first section on the ice.

After 89 seconds, the 1017 fans broke into cheers for the first time.

Moritz Israel got a criminal amount of space in the center and used it 1-0.

The SCR then showed how to not allow the opponent room to combine when outnumbered, before making it exciting again on the offensive.

Uli Maurer, Sebastian Cimmerman, who was initially conspicuously enthusiastic about the game, Tobias Kircher and Sam Verelst failed in their attempts to make it 2-0.

That was then succeeded by Robin Soudek after a pass from Christoph Eckl.

The white-blue storm fireworks continued with a chance from Alexander Höller and a little later with the 3:0 by Israel.

Eckl's shot attempt was blocked and mutated into a short pass to Israel – shot on the turn, goal.

The end of a strong first third of the hosts.

Rosenheim comes to life

But the contrast program followed.

This does not mean the enchanting performance of the young SCR figure skaters in the second break, but the attack by the Starbulls came to life from the 25th minute.

More and more, the SCR was constricted on the defensive, more and more goalie Daniel Allavena came into focus.

SCR coach Pat Cortina should have noted this phase on his note with negative as well as positive key points.

His team hardly managed to provide some relief, but at the same time he saw passionately defending Riesserseer, who hadn't conceded a goal even after 40 minutes.

Balanced final third

But that was to come, in the 48th minute, when ex-Riessersee player Michael Knaub poked the disc over the line.

Why?

Because the Starbulls continued to be the more active team.

But the goal also served as a wake-up call, the SCR revived its offensive and the goal from Thomas Schmid quickly made it 4-1.

A game developed in which both teams largely neutralized each other.

They wore themselves out in the duels, the quality of the pass decreased considerably, which often resulted in piecemeal work on both sides.

Although the Starbulls still managed to make it 4:2 - too easy from the SCR point of view because a shot at Allavena's saver and a sweep was enough - the third win in the fourth friendly was no longer in danger.

In the end, the white-blues had already decided the game with their furious first third.

In the first 15 minutes, Cortina's team showed again what leap in quality they made compared to the previous season.

Although the powder was quickly gone, the preparations are still going on and Rosenheim is not one of the championship contenders for nothing.
