After a long period of waiting, the weightlifter, Stanislav Maznitsin, the weightlifter's husband and coach Nicole Rubanovich (Maccabi Tel Aviv), and a member of Israel's Olympic staff, received an Israeli identity card as a temporary resident this weekend. 

Following the receipt of the identity card, Maznitzin will be able to participate in the Israeli championships.

Now, the sports bodies will begin to act so that he receives a transit passport, which will allow him to represent Israel in international competitions. 

The 26-year-old Maznitsyn, who competes up to 96 kg, born in Russia, won a bronze medal in 2019 at the European Under-23 Championship. In the push he won a silver medal with 200 kg and in the swing he won a bronze medal with 163 kg to reach the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

Stanislas Maznitsyn will make his debut in Israel in December in the weightlifting league and he is preparing for the European Championship which will be held in April 2023 in Armenia and is a criterion competition for the Olympic Games in Tokyo. 

His wife, Nicole Rubanovich, went to a two-week training camp in Tenerife yesterday (Saturday) attended by eight weightlifters from Germany, two weightlifters from Finland and one athlete from Estonia.
