Max Verstappen won the Monza Grand Prix in Italy today (Sunday), and won the fifth race in a row in Formula 1.

The Red Bull driver jumped from second place, after losing out to Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in the heats, but again managed to finish on top of the podium - on the way to his expected win of the drivers' championship for the second year in a row.
The podium was completed by Charles Leclerc, who in front of the home crowd finished in second place, and George Russell from Mercedes who finished third and records an excellent personal season - when he is ahead of Lewis Hamilton in the table.

The race was stopped on lap 51, after Daniel Ricciardo Marano was stopped due to a fault, the team was unable to clear his car from the track, and the final laps were finished behind the safety car.
