The first period quickly took off.
With a clear domination in the first quarter of an hour, Stade Rennais opened the scoring quickly thanks to Kamaldeen Sulemana, receiving a deflected ball, which came to conclude with a flat foot against Benoît Costil on the left side from the surface (2nd).
