The Polish world number one, Iga Švientek, was crowned today in the US Open tennis championship. The crowning of the tournament came after her victory in the final against Tunisian Anas Jabeur in two sets without a response, with a score of 2-6, 6-7.
She became the first player to win the Roland Garros and America titles in a single season since Serena Williams in 2013, and the first player to win 10 consecutive WTA Finals in straight sets since 2000.
