SE Freising remains on the road to success in the Landesliga Southeast.

The Bittner team also had that little bit of luck when they won in Forstinning.

Freising

– That was the fourth treble in a row and the fifth win of the season overall: The Landesliga footballers from SE Freising were also unbeatable on Saturday when they were promoted VfB Forstinning and finally won 1-0 (1-0).

Sure, the league table hasn't been cleaned up yet.

But while the SEF kickers were at the bottom at the beginning of the round and at times held the red lantern in their hands, Eintracht greeted them from fourth place in the classification on Saturday evening.

Nothing more than a snapshot - and yet proof of the new stability on the Roider-Jackl-Weg.

Bittner: "We had to weigh everything."

At the weekend, however, the conditions were not as clear as they were last.

"It was a dirty win this time," admitted SEF coach Florian Bittner.

"We had to throw everything into the balance." It wasn't necessarily a dull threesome that the Lerchenfelders from the Ebersberg district brought home with them.

However, Jonas Mayr and Co. had to stretch themselves and tremble for success until the final whistle.

Forstinning, who got off to a great start in the state league season after promotion, got off to a flying start and put the guests under pressure.

Had it not been for keeper Maximilian Oswald, the SEF would soon have fallen behind.

At some point, however, Freising also got involved, but more than a post bang from player-coach Bittner after a corner was initially not possible (13th).

At this point, VfB was dominating the game.

And that's why Freising's lead came as a bit of a surprise: Striker Luka Brudtloff had been played on the left wing, moved a few meters towards the penalty area and simply shot at it from a good 17 meters.

The ball bounced - and finally VfB goalkeeper Marko Susac stretched in vain and was unable to prevent the bitter 0:1 from the hosts' point of view (35th).

It is understandable that Forstinning came out of the dressing room after the break with anger in his stomach and also left his mark on the early stages of the second half.

However, referee Jürgen Gabel did not give the supposed equalizer due to an offside position - and a little later a VfB attempt hit the woodwork.

That was luck for the SE Freising.

SE Freising misses the preliminary decision

In the final phase, the Domstädter reported back and worked out the chance for the preliminary decision.

But either the Lerchenfelder played it too carelessly to the end, or keeper Susac still had his fingers on it.

So overall, was it a lucky win for the SEF?

"In any case, my team fought really hard for the full 90 minutes, worked their way into the game and was rewarded in the end," summarized Coach Bittner.

In the end, it doesn't matter to the people of Domstadt how this victory came about - after all, they were only the second team to win in Forstinning this season.

In addition, the successful series of four games without losing points continues, so the SEF kickers can go into the hot autumn relatively relaxed.

"We're on the right track," said coach Bittner.
