The Syrian youth football team achieved a great victory over the Mariana Islands team, with ten goals without return, for the fourth group in the qualifiers for the Asian Cup held in Jordan.
In the first half, Muhannad Fadel scored two goals for our team in the 6th and 34th minutes, Elias Safar scored two goals in the 9th and 25th minutes, Hozan Othman in the 11th minute and Mahmoud Al-Nayef in the 40th minute.
The remaining four goals were scored by Zakaria Ramadan in the 68th minute, Mahmoud Al-Aswad in the 60th minute, Mahmoud Muhanna in the 68th minute, and Hozan Othman from a penalty kick in the 74th minute.
Our team opened its qualifying campaign yesterday by defeating Chinese Taipei 1-0, and our team will meet in its third match with Jordan next Friday before concluding the qualifiers by facing Turkmenistan on the eighteenth of this month.
The squad of our team in the match included Muhammad Hassouni, Khaled Al-Hajjah, Ali Al-Rina, Malik Janair, Hassan Dahan, Mahmoud Al-Nayef, Mahmoud Al-Aswad, Al-Miqdad Ahmed, Hozan Othman, Muhannad Fadel and Muhammad Asaad.
The first place in each group qualifies for the Asian finals, along with the best 5 teams that get second place in the ten groups of qualifiers, to join the hosts of the tournament, Uzbekistan.
