The sixth round of the Italian league was closed tonight (Monday) with the victory of Roma away against Empoli with goals from Paulo Dybala and the striker of the England team.
Empoli - Roma 2:1
After the 4:0 defeat against Udinese in the previous round and the surprising 2:1 loss to Ludogorz in the opening round of the group stage in the Europa League, Jose Mourinho's apprentices came back to win with an important 1:2 over Empoli.
Paulo Dybala, in his best game since arriving in the Italian capital, scored the first with a tremendous kick from outside the box in the 17th minute.
Filippo Bandinelli equalized before halftime (43) for the hosts.
In the 71st minute it was Dybala again who was involved in the goal, this time with a pass to Tammy Avraham who restored the advantage to Giallorossi.
In the 77th minute, Roma won a penalty after a foul in the box, but Lorenzo Pellegrini, the team's captain, kicked the crossbar.
In the 87th minute, Empoli got into even more trouble when Jean-Daniel Akpe Akpero saw the red card after a serious foul.
This victory lifts Roma to fifth place in the table, one point behind Napoli, Atalanta and Milan who are 14th at the top.
