Sadio Mané experiences his first small dent in form at Bayern Munich.
Bayern boss Hasan Salihamidzic knows what the striker needs to change now.
Munich – For Sadio Mané everything was fine on August 31st.
The Senegalese had just scored against Viktoria Köln in the DFB Cup.
It was his - at that point in time - fifth goal in six games for FC Bayern Munich.
It seemed clear: Mané arrived in Munich immediately.
Almost two weeks later, however, Sadio Mané experiences his first dip in form.
He hasn't scored a goal since then.
Sure, since then there have been "only" three games for Bayern.
But Mané's performances - especially against Inter Milan (2-0) - can currently be improved.
In particular, Sadio Mané's graduation rate is currently stuck.
But why is that?
Salihamidzic explains what Sadio Mané needs to change
Hasan Salihamidzic, FC Bayern's sports director, doesn't see Mané's sagging so drastically.
The newcomer from Liverpool is "a good guy, a really good player" and has a "great mentality," emphasized the Bayern boss on the soccer talk show "Doppelpass".
"Now he didn't play two games the way we imagine and also how he imagines it," Salihamidzic defended his player - and also explained the reason for the mini-crisis of the Senegalese.
So Sadio Mané is his biggest critic, sometimes even "too self-critical".
Brazzo knows: "He has to get away from that." And so the FCB official is certain that Mané will be successful again in the next few games.
Mané's coach had struck a similar note after the Inter game in the Champions League.
Julian Nagelsmann defended Sadio Mané despite a weaker performance in Milan.
After all, the winger "didn't have it easy as a target player".
Will Mané stop his slump in form against Barca?
At the weekend, Sadio Mané sat on the bench for the first time since he has been at FC Bayern.
In the 2-2 draw against VfB Stuttgart, the 30-year-old only came into play shortly before the end, but was unable to provide any significant impetus.
Now the group game in the premier class against FC Barcelona is on Tuesday.
A good time for Mané and the Bayern squad to end the mini-crisis.
