RB Leipzig didn't put in an appealing performance but still return from Glasgow with three points.

Thanks to a 2-0 (0-0) win at Celtic Glasgow, the Bundesliga club still has every chance of reaching the round of 16.

In the parallel game in Group F, Real Madrid played 1-1 (0-0) against Shakhtar Donetsk.

This puts Leipzig in second place with six points.

Celtic are last (1).

Real Madrid remain leaders (10), Donetsk is third (5).

Leipzig didn't come into play at all at first.

Celtic had the better chances, Matt O'Riley hit the post (27'), Kyōgo Furuhashi headed just over (29').

The Bundesliga club tried to control, but played far too sluggishly forward.

Leipzig could not build on the performance of the 3-1 home win against Celtic in the previous week.

Shortly after the restart, Willi Orban had the best chance of the game from a distance, but Celtic keeper Joe Hart was able to parry it (49').

Leipzig was still the weaker team, but took the lead through Timo Werner.

André Silva served Timo Werner, who made it 1-0 with a header (75').

Shortly thereafter, Emil Forsberg raised after submission by Werner (84th).

Ahead of Sunday's Clásico against FC Barcelona, Real Madrid didn't appear to be fully focused on the Champions League game in Warsaw against Donetsk.

Not much happened in the first half, in the second half Real conceded the 0:1 immediately after the restart.

Attacker Olexandr Zubkov headed in after a precise cross (46').

Lassina Traoré should have raised the ball, but only hit the bar (65').

Real coach Carlo Ancelotti made a lively substitution, but it took until injury time for Real to equalize.

The German national player Antonio Rüdiger headed in after a cross from Toni Kroos (90 + 5.).

In doing so, however, he bumped into keeper Anatolij Trubin, both of whom lay dazed.

Paris struggled for a long time without the ailing Lionel Messi.

Only a penalty kick gave the favorites the lead: Ex-Bayer Juan Bernat was fouled in the penalty area, Kylian Mbappé converted safely (39th), although he had a turbulent day behind him.

Several media reported that the young star wanted to leave Paris in winter.

The club denied this rumor before the game.

Paris were clearly the better side and had opportunities to extend their lead.

Nevertheless, the Portuguese managed to equalize, also by penalty.

Marco Verratti fouled Rafa Silva, João Mário converted safely (62nd).

Paris have eight points at the top of Group H, with Benfica second (7).

In the group's other game, Maccabi Haifa defeated Juventus Turin earlier in the evening.
