For the first time since the pandemic, Trisport Erding has again invited to the general meeting.

Around 60 athletes came to the Erdinger Weißbräu, significantly more than in previous years.

Erding - "I am so pleasantly surprised and I am very happy that so many have come," said the outgoing board member Jürgen Feyerabend-Syré.

Corona had given the club a hard time.

Simone Blumoser was happy about the sporting successes of her TriKids, but it was much more important that the corona crisis and the resulting restrictions on training operations did not harm the team's sense of community.

"Fun in sports and exercise will always be the focus for our youngest.

And we noticed that this spark jumps over to the children, especially at the training camp in Inzell, which we were finally able to experience together again this year,” reported Blumoser.

There was also great applause for the outstanding sporting achievements.

Mark Bittner came third at the German triathlon championships, Benjamin Luber was Bavarian age group runner-up in the marathon.

Seven athletes dared to run the Ironman distance in June this year and all finished with good times.

It cannot be taken for granted that the club is still where it is after these tough years.

Sirko Papperitz, Managing Director of Trisport Erding Event GmbH, presented the figures and drew an acceptable conclusion.

"We're not doing badly, but we're not doing well either.

The Corona bridging aid from the Bavarian state government made it possible for us to continue holding the events.

However, both the city triathlon and the Erding city run had to record a significant drop in participants in 2022.

Here we have to see how we can all get back to pre-pandemic levels together.”

Tasks that the new board will have to deal with.

Feyerabend-Syré left after more than ten years due to time constraints, but remains on the extended board as event coordinator.

Alois Neumeier no longer ran for the presidency for health reasons.

Harald Bronold and Florian Leimbeck, who was lured into office with a "high percentage advance", follow the two.

Blumoser was confirmed in office and unanimously re-elected, as was Papperitz as Managing Director of Event GmbH.

To further strengthen the cohesion in the club and above all to revive the club life, which inevitably suffered a little from Corona, these goals are at the top of the agenda of the new management team.

And the fact that this is desired and, above all, supported by the members, was shown by lively discussions, a lot of commitment and new ideas that were a bit behind due to time reasons, but now want to be tackled together.

The founding members of Trisport, Winfried Kretschmer and Bernd Grimm, spontaneously took the younger ones on a little journey through time and talked about the early days of the club, first as a department of TSV and later as an independent entity.

Nine members from back then remain loyal to the association to this day and have been honored for it.

A very special thank you also went to Franz Groß, the “face of the running course” at the city triathlon and city run.

After around 20 years, he is handing over his department to a young, motivated team.
