Danny Avdia, who will start his third NBA season with the Washington Wizards in a week, told the team's official website today (Thursday) about his feelings.

The forward is suffering from a hip injury, which has prevented him from playing so far in the preseason, but is expected to be fit for the first game against Denver when he returns to full training.
"It's always fun to be back in action," he says, "I haven't been on the field since the European Championship. I think I've built good chemistry with the new players, and I can't wait for the start."
The Israeli continued: "The desire to win and the competitiveness of the new team is well felt. I felt that I was important to the team even when I was on the sidelines. I want to improve and play with more confidence, I feel more comfortable and know what my strengths are."
A number of significant new players joined the team from the capital this summer.
The most senior of them are Will Barton and Monte Morris who came from the Denver Nuggets.
