The A-Juniors of the Altenerdinger Handballer offered a high-scoring and exciting game in the state league home game against HaSpo Bayreuth.
Altenerding - After a long lead, the hosts in the Semptsporthalle had to settle for a 32:32 draw (15:15).
The defenses acted aggressively on both sides, so that there were three warnings after just four minutes.
Altenerding had slight problems in attack and was 0:2 behind early on.
Bayreuth was always successful with his backfield throwers and increased to 5:1.
Then the hosts had adjusted to the opposing defense and shortened.
Jakob Köhler had a very good day at the circle.
This is how a game developed at eye level.
Neither team could really pull away, and it was 15:15 at the break.
After the change, the guests became increasingly nervous.
Altenerding used his chances more consistently and led 23:20 and 25:21 in the meantime.
Then the game got hectic and also harder.
The lead shrank to 31:30 in the final minute, then Bayreuth equalized.
33 seconds before the end, a guest player saw the red card.
Tim Steininger used the majority and scored to 32:31, but Bayreuth equalized to 32:32 with the final siren.
