Retired from football since December 2018 at the end of a professional career that took him from Le Mans to Phoenix (United States), via Guingamp, Marseille, Chelsea, Shanghai, Galatasaray and Montreal in twenty years, Didier Drogba remains a key figure in world football.
At 44, the former captain of the national team of Côte d'Ivoire now combines functions with an efficiency identical to that which he displayed during his brilliant career (more than 700 matches played and 360 goals scored): chairman of his own Foundation, he is also vice-chairman of Peace and Sport, holds a seat on FIFA's Football Stakeholders Committee and is an ambassador for the World Health Organization, among others.
“I travel a lot throughout the year,”
he breathes.
