The joy of our turn: this is how we celebrated at Teddy after more than six months Israel today

2022-10-16T07:48:16.920Z

"Unicolesco", that's what he should be called, ate 'navla' just in time and lifted the Beitar Jerusalem fans to heaven • The team returned to fight, Tamir Adi forgot that he was no longer playing for us, and the victory songs were played even before the whistle • Also: the substitution that needs to be made in the department The music • Fan column

70th minute - the result 0:0.

Beitar is in last place in the league with six losses in seven games, and in disproportionate contrast to the reality we have been experiencing in recent months - the thousands of fans in the Teddy stands are frantically chanting 'May Jesus discover Jerusalem in it'. Not a minute has passed - and the Teddy gates have opened. 1:0 Beitar .

But long before that there was a game, and there was an atmosphere that even those who had to watch the game from afar could not miss it.

Very positive energy from the first minute, unlike normal home games that open with the song 'I love you with all my heart', the crowd pushed already at the start of the game with the song "We believe, we believe".

It's a matter of taste and apparently it's semantic, but to me it's the right song and the most characteristic of the Beitar crowd and it's right to start every game with it, at least in Teddy. It's a story of faith for us, before anything else.

Betar of the first half adjusted the energy to the crowd, and this was mainly reflected in determination in ball fights and also in a particularly high number of fouls, in my opinion this was the half with the highest number of fouls of the team from the start of the season.

The half did end with some of the crowd booing, mainly because of Nicolasco's bad dynamics (we'll get to that later) in the last period, but the truth is that in relation to Beitar and in relation to the opponent who is better on paper, it was a close half, and it is also worth noting a great save by Itamar Israeli, who kept a clean sheet for the first time, against Tamir Adi who proved that he still helps his beloved team, even after he left.

In the second half the team gained confidence.

The crowd's push was also felt on the grass, and indeed less than a minute after singing "Jesus discovered Jerusalem in it - on your walls, the city of David, I have placed guards" came Jordan Shua, who, just after taking our breath away by squeezing the ball to within a millimeter of the line, delivered a master pass to Asperia with a sharp touch Lifted Teddy - who had been waiting so long for this lift - to the sky.

From here we didn't look back and Ion Nicolasco (he should be called Yoniculasco - in one word), who gives the impression of a striker who, if played smartly, can be a very significant "game changer" this season, decisively scored a goal that personally reminded me of one that I used to call 'The carrion eater' (in a good way) simply because, just like Filippo Inzaghi, he always knew how to be in the right place in the square and push the ball into the goal - with his elbow, with his kneecap, with his hip - and I mean, of course, Jacob Silvestra, who in his first season at Beitar somehow Lamb from every possible situation.

Is Unicolescu, who already scores a third goal in Beitar in only three games, the Silvestra of the first season?

Or on the way to being Sylvester of the second season which mostly disappointed?

We shall see.

So far it looks very good.

The last victory we experienced at Teddy was 0:1 from a goal by Gliofilio Hasselbink Pleiter in April of this year. More precisely: 3.4.22 - over half a year! To understand how long Teddy had been waiting for such a victory, you have to go to the moment when the referee Idan Leiva whistled for a foul in the 5th minute. 95 - And the announcer didn't wait and already there on the system he played the victory songs - when the game, as mentioned, was not over yet. Another minute passed and the song "Jesus and rejoice in Simchat Torah and give respect to the Torah" was already washing over the Teddy stands.

Finally.

Happy turn!
