On the eleventh match day of the Bundesliga, FC Bayern easily won 2-0 at TSG Hoffenheim and increased the pressure on leaders Union Berlin.

Borussia Dortmund beat VfB Stuttgart 5-0, Bayer Leverkusen and VfL Wolfsburg drew 2-2, Freiburg beat Werder Bremen 2-0.

RB Leipzig had to chase a 0: 3 in Augsburg and still managed a 3: 3 draw.

For the time being, Bayern Munich has moved up to a point behind leaders Union Berlin.

The league runners-up were the better team in Hoffenheim from the start, and the ball was in the goal in the 18th minute.

Jamal Musiala gave Bayern the lead after Leon Goretzka extended his header.

Bayern, this time without Sadio Mané in the starting line-up, had more good chances and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting made it 2-0 in the 38th minute as a result.

Choupo-Moting, who is currently playing so well, had already been successful in the DFB Cup against Augsburg and before that in a top duel against SC Freiburg.

Next Wednesday, FC Barcelona in the Champions League and a reunion with Robert Lewandowski await the attacker and Bayern Munich.

Thanks to the comfortable lead, FC Bayern was able to save energy for the duel early on in Hoffenheim, but the team didn't come under pressure.

After the last three games in a row without a win, BVB didn't need long to take a comfortable lead against Stuttgart.

First, Jude Bellingham used a cross pass from Niklas Süle to make it 1-0 (2nd minute), a little later the German international scored himself from a free-kick cross (13th).

Shortly before the break, Giovanni Reyna (45th) scored Dortmund's third goal.

At the latest, Bellingham's flick to make it 4-0 (53 rd ) decided the game.

Youssoufa Moukoko made it 5-0 (73').

With 19 points, Dortmund is in fourth place thanks to the win against VfB.

The Champions League home game against Manchester City with ex-Dortmunder Erling Haaland is scheduled for Tuesday.

Stuttgart is still stuck in the relegation zone with eight points in 15th place.

Werder has conceded the third competitive game bankruptcy within a week.

Bremen were outnumbered early on at SC Freiburg after defender Marco Friedl saw a red card in the 14th minute.

Friedl was the last defender to stop Michael Gregoritsch from Freiburg and, in the eyes of referee Bastian Dankert, prevented a clear chance.

It was a tough decision against Bremen.

The game then lacked great chances and pace.

Both teams were in action in the DFB Cup during the week, Freiburg got through after extra time against St. Pauli, Bremen were eliminated on penalties in Paderborn - that probably explained the rather tough run.

In the second half, Lukas Kübler redeemed the SCF with a powerful shot into the left corner of the goal (56th).

Vincenzo Grifo, who had already prepared the 1-0, made it 2-0 with a penalty and the decision (80'). Grifo cheekily lobbed the ball into the middle.

This keeps Freiburg in the top group of the Bundesliga and is currently third.

Leverkusen showed an unfortunate performance against Wolfsburg, which began with a missed hand penalty by Moussa Diaby (10th).

The Frenchman gave the hosts the lead shortly afterwards (17'), but it didn't last long because Robert Andrich scored an awkward own goal (28').

In the second half it was VfL who were awarded a penalty after Felix Nmecha was cleared by Edmond Tapsoba.

Captain Maximilian Arnold stepped up and hit the left corner (54th), the game was turned.

The game took another turn when Leverkusen's Daley Sinkgraven dribbled the ball past the far post.

Jeremie Frimpong ran in there and scored the 2:2 (75th).
