FC Unterföhring is back in the relegation battle of the Landesliga Southeast and ranks only one point ahead of the relegation places after the 1:2 at bottom Brunnthal.

With a cheap ball loss in the build-up, the Unterföhringer gave away the first goal by Jakob Klaß again (18th), before Maxi Siebald put everything back to zero two minutes later with the equalizer.

Of course, the Unterföhringers had a lot of bad luck in the first half with a number of good chances to score with a Fischer shot on the post, a Siebald hit the bar or a clearing of the line.

On the other hand, they played against the tail light, who had to put a field player in goal due to staff shortages.

However, the missed chances are also offset by the fact that Brunnthal had three huge chances five minutes after the restart.

"Sebbo saved us in that phase," coach Zlatan Simikic praised his outstanding goalkeeper Sebastian Fritz.

Nevertheless, in the 55th minute, Jakob Klaß's second goal made it 2:1 for Brunnthal, which brought the field team home.

Zlatan Simikic wanted to blame his team and brushed it off when players apologized for the performance.

"We all win and lose together," said the coach.

He seemed a bit at a loss as to how he can currently help the unsettled team.

The will was there and often only the last pass was missing to success, but on the other hand, the Unterföhringers beat themselves a bit again and again. And that's why you are just one point ahead of the relegation places shortly before the end of the preliminary round.
