What a black, white and red party!

Eintracht Frankfurt celebrated the very first Champions League home win in a 2-1 (2-1) win over Olympique Marseille.

There were two great experiences, the first Champions League home games against Sporting Lisbon and Tottenham Hotspur.

But something was missing.

That collective cheer.

The deafening scream from the stands.

The sense of achievement.

After no goals were scored for the SBU in the first home games, the fans of Eintracht Frankfurt didn't even have to wait three minutes this time.

Jesper Lindström, who was outstanding in the end, skilfully let the ball pass through his legs, then – of course – Daichi Kamada scored.

The Japanese is something like "Mister European Cup" at Eintracht: Last season, "Euro-Daichi" contributed five goals to victory in the Europa League and scored more internationally than in the league.

And it didn't stop at one cry of joy.

After 27 minutes, Randal Kolo Muani was lucky to get the ball and then benefited from Mario Götze's ingenious preliminary work.

For the French it was the first Champions League goal against his compatriots – and the perfect answer to the surprising equalizer in the meantime.

Five minutes earlier, the newly formed Frankfurt defensive line had overlooked Matteo Guendouzi, the ex-Hertha player uncompromisingly threw a cross into the net.

The sold-out Deutsche Bank Park was not allowed to celebrate a goal afterwards - although the fans after the chances of Götze - in front of national coach "Hansi" Flick in the stands - and Christopher Lenz had the goal scream on their lips several times in the first half.

But every successful defensive action, every duel won was cheered loudly.

It was not even necessary for coach Oliver Glasner to animate the attachment again after 89 minutes.

Because in the last 20 minutes, Eintracht kept the opponent away from their own goal with impressive ball security and only allowed one long-range shot.

First, second, third, fourth: Everything is possible for Eintracht Frankfurt in the last group game

“We all have to pinch ourselves.

Eintracht Frankfurt celebrated the first Champions League home win in the club's history," boomed the loudspeakers afterwards, and the SBU celebrated the final whistle like an announcement like a championship.

With their own victory – and the 1-1 draw in the parallel game between Tottenham and Sporting – anything is possible in the last group game in Lisbon in a week.

First, second, third or fourth - we'll only be smarter in a week.

But Eintracht has progress in their own hands.

Luckily it remained quiet in the stadium between the fan camps, although riots were feared in advance.

Only after the final whistle did things get agitated when four gunshots rang out from the Marseille block.

"Don't get sucked into the crap," the police chief appealed to the Frankfurt fans.

They applauded loudly and obeyed - so that the victory could be duly celebrated afterwards.
