The drafts have already been sent from Canada and the process should close very soon. Maccabi Tel Aviv often drags its feet when it comes to new contracts. Not in Gloch's case. This time everything went very quickly.

So what made the change and why is Oscar Gloch signing A new agreement? Why did he give up the option to leave almost for free (in exchange for only a few hundred thousand euros of enhancement fees) and theoretically close himself until the summer of 2025 in Maccabi Tel Aviv?

The basis for everything that is happening right now is in the building of the relationship between the Glouch family and Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Not the suspicion towards Ivić from the summer and not the fear that Goldhar only wants to take care of his club.

Gloch and his father were convinced in several meetings held during the last three months that Maccabi Tel Aviv wanted them as partners.

As those who will also contribute to the club by helping the player win titles, but also as those who deserve to benefit from the transfer fee that should come for the player.

If Maccabi Tel Aviv had sold Glouch last summer or next summer, the player would not have benefited from the transfer fee.

Now, in the new agreement, he will receive percentages and if he ends up with a decent amount, they will be worth a lot of money to the family.

But the percentages and the handsome signing bonus that Gloch will receive after he signs, are not the main story.

Maxim Gloch was convinced that another season and maybe even more than that in the current Maccabi Tel Aviv, would promote his son and make him a player more ready to go to Europe.

Although Gloch is set to embark on a long and rich career on the continent, there have already been examples in the past of players who left at an inopportune time for them and returned here very quickly.

Gloch does not want to be on this list and when he is only 18 and a half years old, nothing bad will happen to him if he stays another year at Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Another significant issue that led to the agreement to sign a new contract is Gloch's status as a free agent versus a player who purchases him.

On the face of it, a free agent, as he should have been in a year and two months, enjoys transfer attractiveness.

He does not cost the club that collects millions of euros and this also gives him an advantage in obtaining a higher contract since he is free.

But alongside this, there has been a proven problem for years.

Players who come to clubs for free are not a priority.

Precisely the players who come for money are the players the club wants to cultivate and the system must prove that it was right in purchasing them.

Gloch and his agent know that he will have a higher chance of succeeding in the next team, precisely when he is acquired.

Goldhar already knew three months ago that he had to take this project into his hands.

There are those who say that his arrival in Israel in the summer was first due to the crisis with the Gloch family and his obligation to close on a new contract.

Goldhar realized that Gloch is not something that grows every season in the youth department, so if he does not arrive in Israel on his private plane and sit down with the father for a meeting, he may find himself within a year without the player and without the money.

In the first meeting and also in those that came after it, full trust was built between the parties.

Gloch Sr. would not have entered into such a deal with any owner in Israeli football.

Most probably in most clubs here he would have stayed with the current contract and waited to escape abroad. With Goldhar it is different. He is a billionaire. A successful businessman who has owned Maccabi Tel Aviv for 13 years. He knows that their word is iron. So the new contract will have a release clause And he won't be low, but he will have a fair understanding that if an offer arrives next summer or the one after that from a first-class club in Europe and especially one that knows how to nurture young people, Maccabi Tel Aviv will not insist on the release clause and will not blow up the deal because of a million or two.

They would not go to such a deal with any owner.

Maccabi Tel Aviv knows today that if it weren't for Gloch's good will, it would have lost him in another year and two months, and therefore Goldhar is expected to honor his word in front of the family and not insist on the release clause, if and when an offer comes that Gloch cannot refuse.

At the age of 18 and a half, Oscar Gloch is in the optimal state.

He is going to upgrade his life with a new contract, he is not under pressure to leave and can wait for the right offer and most importantly, he knows that an entire club the size of Maccabi Tel Aviv wants his success and sees him as a key player both professionally and financially.

Until recently, players his age still played in the youth team or went out on loan to Beitar Tel Aviv, and he is already in the same breath with Eran Zahavi. In many aspects, there was not such a good agreement for both sides, like the contract that Oskar Gloch will sign in a few days.
