Bruno Schondov is already 42 years old and when he looks back, he sees 21 years of a varied career.
He played in the NBA, spent time in Europe, moved among others to Maccabi Tel Aviv, the United Arab Emirates, the Philippines and Iran, and hung up his jersey in 2018.
The huge chin, 2.21 meters, was left with many memories that he collected throughout the period and yesterday one of them was published.
The Croatian was part of the Indiana Pacers staff in 2002-2000, in which he participated in 33 games.
In his second season there, he was joined by rookie Jamal Tinsley, who was selected by Vancouver 27th in the draft and traded to the Pacers via Atlanta in a loaded deal.
Shondov recalled the frantic guard yesterday: "Tinsley simply wouldn't shower with the players, neither after practices nor after games. He would go into the locker room, get dressed and leave. After a few times, Reggie Miller went to the management and said: 'Bring the rule book, we We must make a change. For players to shower after training and games, otherwise they will be fined. And so it was."
The former Croatian player continued: "Tinsley did not agree. The first fine was 500 dollars and the second one was already doubled and was 1,000. And so it continued... You won't believe how much he paid in the end! We did a calculation together with him, he paid 250 thousand dollars in fines. He was Going to shower at home, maybe he didn't want to be naked in front of everyone... but in the end he paid a quarter of a million dollars for refusing to shower!"

Tinsley completed 7 years with the Pacers and reached the Eastern Conference Finals with her in the 2003/04 season.
He then went on to a season in Memphis and three more in Utah.
He posted career averages of 8.5 points, 6.1 assists and 2.9 rebounds in the regular season.
He retired at the end of the 2013/14 season.
