The veteran coach is introduced as the official replacement for Nir Klinger who was fired this week • Yoav Katz: "We will be in the top playoffs" • The coach: "Names are not enough - we have to play together"

Welcome back: Hapoel Haifa today (Thursday) introduced the team's new coach, Roni Levy, at a press conference.

The latter managed to conduct two training sessions in Kiryat Haim and now he was introduced to the owner Yoav Katz, as already on Saturday his first game on the lines awaits him in Teddy against Beitar Jerusalem.

Levy does not have much time to implement significant changes, since the period of time he has to prepare the team is not long.

The first and significant change planned by the coach is the return of midfielder Hanan Meman to the team.

Beyond that, Levy's main highlights in the existing video collections were the team's defensive play, which was lacking, since so far the Reds have conceded 12 goals and have not won since the first round.

The defender Guy Mizrahi is also expected to be in the lineup after being pushed aside a little during the last period of the previous coach, Nir Klinger.

Owner Yoav Katz said at the press conference: "We wanted to bring the best and I think they found him. The expectations remained the same - to reach Europe and the playoffs, and above all to do everything to reach a good place next season - the club's centenary year."

"We have 17 more games - before Rooney's record he has 60% success - we will be in the top playoffs. We want it to rise to 70%. The expectations are not only from the coach but also from the coach but also from the players. Our performances were not as good as we expected But at the end of the day we will go far. Roni is our leader and he will take us far."

Regarding the state of the team, Katz said: "In the summer, things were different. We thought we had a somewhat challenged team and the most important thing was to bring in someone who was motivated, we tried with Roni but it didn't work out but now he is here. The team is very connected personally, on the professional side this is the job Roni's and the whole system's. Like it or not - we will reach the top playoffs."

To Israel Hayom's question about the connection and faith of the audience: "It's a different process. Let's leave it aside for now. It's easier with the group. With the audience in the age of networks it's more difficult and constantly changing. We want to concentrate on the group and the audience is secondary at the moment."

Roni Levy: "I am very happy to return to work. For me, football first comes from love and then a profession. I have already been in teams in an unpleasant situation, and every team has its challenge, here too. There is an ambition to improve and a great desire here. I will do everything to bring it There. I've been with the team for 3 training sessions and I already have insights and suggestions, but with time it will come."

Regarding the squad, the coach said: "There are many players who have passed under me, almost ten. I think the squad is good with experienced players who know things in football. But I tell them that quality and experience are not enough and the key word is together. We need to improve and be a team in the full sense of the word. I Confident and believing in them and I'm sure we'll do good things together, we still haven't found a balance."

He said about the upcoming game: "The players understand how important the meeting with Beitar is.

We have to pick ourselves up and reach Teddy with another goal - to win."
