Arsenal's Spanish defender, Pablo Mari, was stabbed in the chest this evening (Thursday) in a shopping center near Milan along with five other people who were injured in the incident.
The player on loan from the Gunners to Monza, the newcomer in Italy, is conscious and according to reports in Italy and England is not seriously injured.
Monza's professional manager, Adriano Galiani, prayed for the safety of the team's stopper: "Pablo Mari is not in danger, his injury is not life-threatening. We hope to see him back to us soon. Pablo, we are all here with you and your family. Keep fighting as you know, you will recover Faster".
Arsenal's coach, Mikel Arteta, responded to the difficult incident in which the team's stopper was involved at the end of the 2:0 loss to PSV: "I found out about what happened only now. I know that Edu (Arsenal's professional manager) was in contact with those close to Pablo Mari. He is in the hospital and it sounds like they are fine."
