Two great German athletes join the entrepreneurs.
Manuel Neuer and Angelique Kerber found a company.
Marburg – Manuel Neuer and Angelique Kerber come from different sports, but they have one thing in common at the moment: they cannot do their job.
While Neuer is suffering from a stubborn shoulder injury, there is a more gratifying reason behind it at Kerber: she is pregnant and taking a baby break.
In the meantime, both venture into entrepreneurial territory - together.
Neuer and Kerber jointly found the company Deutsche Cosmetics Works AG, or DKW for short.
From November, the two will be launching skin care and sun protection products.
Kerber and Neuer met at a Champions League game and get along well privately.

If you are looking for a connection to sport, you don't have to look far: The products are to be developed primarily for active people.
“We do many hours of sport every week – so we take a shower several times a day.
We literally wear our own history on our skin," said Kerber.

Neuer added in the joint press release: "Precisely because our passion for competitive sports is also our greatest opponent, our skin is extremely stressed." Apparently, the two professional athletes themselves were not satisfied with the selection of skin care products for athletes on the market and now fix it yourself.

The company is committed to producing particularly skin-friendly and sustainable products.
The specialist know-how is provided by the skin care specialist Paedi Protect.
The Bayern captain is already involved in several companies.
The 36-year-old is co-founder of the fitness company Vaha, which makes fitness mirrors for home workouts.
He also invested in the startup VoteBase, which aims to digitize elections.
Meanwhile, Bayern colleague Leon Goretzka is investing in his own body – and has set himself a new Mucki goal.
