For Mick Schumacher, the air in Formula 1 is getting thinner and thinner.
Ex-driver and TV expert Timo Glock already sees his departure as sealed.
Munich – As the racing season in Formula 1 progresses, Mick Schumacher's chances of driving in the top racing class next year seem to be slimming.
In the meantime, only one cockpit for the coming year has not been clarified.
And that is precisely the one in Haas that is currently occupied by Schumacher.
However, an announcement of the contract extension for the US team does not seem to be in the offing.
Meanwhile, former F1 driver Timo Glock is already voicing the temporary end of Schumi junior in the premier class.
Mick Schumacher's Formula 1 future: According to TV expert Glock, the decision has already been made
In an interview with the broadcaster
Sky
, Glock, himself a regular driver in Formula 1 from 2008 to 2012, gave his assessment of Mick Schumacher's future.
The German expert becomes clear.
If one were to read "between the lines" in the statements of the Haas decision makers, then it would "hurt a bit".
In other words: Timo Glock assumes that Schumacher's farewell within the Haas team has already been decided.

In fact, the latest announcements by Günther Steiner, Haas team boss, and Gene Haas, team owner, do not bode well for the German.
Haas first confirmed that talks had already been held with other drivers.
Then Steiner opened the door to a possible "great stroke of luck", as he described Daniel Ricciardo.
Steiner has now also confirmed to
RTL
that he has contacted Nico Hülkenberg.
Formula 1: Schumacher cannot live up to expectations at Haas
Mick Schumacher finished an unsatisfactory 14th place at the US Grand Prix after Fernando Alonso was handed a 30-second penalty.
However, this was not only due to the performance of the German driver, but above all to the bad tactics of his team.
That had put him on hard tires at the second stop.
The result: falling back to the bottom positions and no chance to make up places.
In addition, Schumacher's car was damaged driving through the debris from the accident between Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll.

Timo Glock doesn't necessarily see Mick Schumacher as responsible for the bad results.
"The hurdle for Mick is very high at the moment.
Not because he doesn't deliver his performance, but because people have different ideas internally at Haas.” Glock did not elaborate on what other ideas he meant exactly, whether tactical or related to the track record.
What Schumacher and Haas certainly have in common is the desire for more successful races and more points.
