An uproar was caused this evening (Thursday) after Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked uploaded a video showing the moments of Yael Arad winning the silver medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, ahead of next week's elections, when the Olympic Committee demands that it be removed.
Following the video, the chairwoman of the Olympic Committee, Yael Arad, uploaded a story, let her take a screenshot of the moment she appears in it when she wrote: "It is repulsive and inappropriate to use emotional and national moments for political purposes."
Later, the Israeli Olympic Committee also issued a response to Minister Ayelet Shaked's propaganda video: "We oppose any mixing of politics in sports and make sure not to be politically identified.

The video exploits and harms the most exciting moments in Israeli sports.
We demand that it be removed immediately and a lawyer on our behalf addresses the minister's chief of staff with a letter of warning to take the video off the web immediately."
