Even worse first half of the season than in the previous season: VfB Hallbergmoos draws the short straw again

VfB Hallbergmoos suffered the next low blow against Kottern on Friday evening.
At least Fabian Diranko scored the consolation goal.

- It was a semi-series to forget.
The footballers of VfB Hallbergmoos finished the first half of the Bayernliga Süd with a meager eight points.
At the end there was a 1:3 (0:1) home defeat against TSV Kottern on Friday evening, which wasn't really better, but just more ripped off.
After just a few minutes it was clear that this opponent did not represent a superior force that one should have respect or even fear.
Kottern didn't seem solid at the back and kept making mistakes in his own build-up game.
Overall, it was a competitor at eye level.
However, the guests had the first two shots on goal, but they came too centrally on the goal and were therefore a safe prey for VfB keeper Martin Dinkel.
Fabian Diranko best Hallbergmooser
The most conspicuous Hallbergmooser was center forward Fabian Diranko, who had three dangerous shots in the first round, but just missed the goal each time.
He could have put his team in the lead.
In addition to the Diranko shots, the hosts repeatedly had dangerous attacks in which wrong decisions were made and, above all, counter-throughs were not played accurately enough.
After 45 minutes, the guests from Kempten were in the lead because they were that little bit cleverer.
In the 32nd minute, the ball landed more or less by accident at Marco Schad, who nailed the ball into the top right corner near the penalty spot from a completely free position.
And shortly afterwards, VfB were lucky not to concede the 0:2, which would have been something of a preliminary decision in view of the currently severely damaged self-confidence.

That came later, after just under an hour: Kottern earned a free-kick near the corner flag, goalkeeper Dinkel should have had the ball kicked into the six-yard box – and at the far post Sezer Yazir pushed the ball over the line from close range.
The table penultimate had already caught a similar goal two weeks ago in the 1:3 home defeat against Memmingen.
VfB hit came too late for the turnaround
Yazir made it 3-0 in the 73rd minute, and Hallbergmooser hung their heads.
But a little later Fabian Diranko rewarded himself with the consolation goal for his committed performance (79th).
To be able to give the game a miraculous turn was illusory.

VfB Hallbergmoos has thus managed to beat last season's disastrous first half of the season (nine points) with eight points after the first half of the season.
Since there is only one direct relegation this season, there is hope of cheating into the relegation.
In view of the current inferiority, going into the season extension seems to be the only option to secure a third Bayernliga year.
