Chaser Lenggrieser SC makes a guest appearance at frontrunner SV Miesbach.

LSC trainer Simon knows how dangerous SVM striker Josef Sontheim is and builds on his “own strength”.

Lenggries – The first leg in the Isar stadium between Lenggrieser SC and SV Miesbach was the top duel in district league 1, the second leg on Saturday (2 p.m.) deserves the title top game.

Because both teams played an outstanding second half of the season - each with a draw - and have now passed the former table leader Hausham.

Bonus points for the first three places

The teams of Stefan Simon and Hans-Werner Grünwald have already put a big tick behind the minimum goal, qualifying for the championship round after the winter break.

Now comes the freestyle: the bonus points for the three places are played out.

LSC coach Simon speaks of two finals, because the third-placed Haushamer are still within striking distance.

"It is important that we now focus on the first of the two finals," demands Simon.

2-2 draw in the first leg

The first leg ended in a flattering 2-2 draw for the home side.

Despite a 2-0 lead, the Lenggrieser team couldn't take the lead over time.

Crucially responsible was on the Miesbacher side their goalgetter Josef Sontheim, goal scorer to 1:2 and passer to 2:2.

Sontheim has now hit the bull's eye 15 times and is the outstanding scorer in all four district leagues.

According to Simon, it was crucial "to prevent the allusions to Sontheim at the top".

We have our own strengths.”

Stefan Simon, LSC trainer

But the Lenggrieser don't want to focus on the top striker too much.

"We have our own strengths and we have to show them."

with 39 goals scored, the LSC cracks have just one less than the home side.

However, these are distributed among significantly more players: Leo Gerg, Felix Kreher, Michael Schnaderbeck, Florian Freiberger or Jakob Gerg - they have all already scored three or more goals.

Bad luck that Oberkanonier Michael Demmel (8 goals) is again away at the master school.

"Personally," Simon admits, "it could definitely be better." Stefan Rinner, Michael and Hias Gerg as well as Thomas Fischhaber are all out with muscle injuries;

Yasim Filiz is ill.

After all, Felix Merklinger comes from his studies in Stuttgart for a flying visit to the Isarwinkel and probably also works.

Alexander Endler is in the starting XI for the first time.

Coach Simon is confident in the first final: "We have it in our own hands."

Lenggrieser SC:

Kleim - Mürnseer, Kreher, Biagini, Angermeier - Freiberger, Dix, L. Gerg, Endler - J. Gerg, Schnaderbeck - Merklinger, K. Demmel, Hartmann, Müller (?).
