Many sporting events will enliven the halls and stadiums of the Paris region this Saturday and Sunday. We offer you a

Since the start of the season, Le Parisien has offered a selection of issues and events not to be missed in Île-de-France before each weekend.

Overview.

The poster not to be missed: Paris aims for the pass of three against Cholet

BASKETBALL.

It took a few matches for the machine to get going.

Tuesday, on the side of Trento in Italy, Paris chained for the first time this season with a 2nd consecutive success (91-86), three days after winning the league at Pau-Lacq-Orthez (79-74) .

Fourth in the EuroCoupe standings, Will Weaver's players may have finally found their stride.

But the road to happiness is still long.

WE CONTINUE IN ITALY 💥

Beaten at Roland-Garros by Monaco, the Parisians find this Saturday (8 p.m.) the Carpentier room with a new challenge, and not the least.

Fourth in Betclic Elite, Cholet did not miss his start to the season.

Led by the whimsical Justin Patton (2.11m), flagship rookie last summer, the Mauges players show their solidity over the weeks, with only one defeat on the clock against Le Mans.

As in Trento, Paris will therefore have to tighten its game and perhaps count on its newcomer, Jeremy Evans.

The team to watch: Béliers de Créteil

HANDBALL.

PSG and Ivry on the move (to Dunkirk and Istres respectively), it is to Créteil that the attention of the 7th day will be drawn, which begins this Friday with an enticing poster.

After Nîmes, it's Aix's turn to come and test an opponent who left victorious from Dunkirk, with several duels in prospect.

To start, that of Valentin Aman, the Aries pivot with the best shooting success rate in the entire Starleague, against the pair of goalkeepers Wesley Pardin / Alejandro Romero will not lack salt.

In the other direction, the Aix striker Matthieu Ong, revelation of last year, will have a lot to do to deceive the vigilance of Dylan Be, who is celebrating his 150 appearances with the Créteil jersey.

It is also the return almost home of Thierry Anti, the Aix coach, who sat on the Cristolian bench from 1994 to 2004 after wearing the colors as a player and assistant coach.

The experience to get chills: the Trail of Fear

RUNNING.

It's time to shiver a little, and not just from the cold.

This Saturday takes place the Trail of Fear on the Leisure Island of Jablines-Annet (Seine-et-Marne).

This event specially created for Halloween is an untimed night course on which participants will evolve in paranormal universes.

Trying to escape from nocturnal and evil creatures?

Here is finally a good reason to run!

Vampires, witches or even zombies will be there with a distance of 3 km (for children from 7 p.m.), a 7 km (from 15 years old, 8 p.m.), and finally an 11 km (from 18, 7:10 p.m.).

Small clarification, and not the least: this final test will take place with the last four kilometers in total darkness.

Brrr....

The place to be: the Arkose room in Pantin

ESCALATION.

As Paris prepares for the 2024 Olympic Games, the climbing community is in turmoil.

For only the second time in history, this discipline will have pride of place at the Olympic Games.

On Saturday, an international difficulty competition will see 24 climbers among the world's elite from all countries compete on extreme routes of the Arkose Pantin wall (55, Rue Cartier-Bresson), with Olympic medalists and high-level athletes international, including the cream of the France team.

The semi-final (6 p.m.) will take place after route work.

A rare format in competition, which will allow athletes to be pushed even further to their limits with 8c+ routes for women and 9a for men.

Athletes will work their way in teams of 2 during the day (10am-5pm).

The final (9:30 p.m.) will be on sight.

There is no work of the way upstream nor observations, no information will be transmitted to the athletes.

It is a run only based on a reading on the ground just before climbing.

A pure and instinctive climb.
