The prosecution on Friday withdrew all charges of corruption and fraud against Neymar and the other defendants in the trial, with the exception of the player's mother, who is standing in Barcelona over alleged irregularities surrounding the player's transfer to Barca in 2013.
In a twist, the prosecutor announced "withdraw the charge against all the defendants and for all the facts" with which they are accused.
The prosecution initially requested two years in prison and a fine of 10 million euros against the Brazilian football star.
